The company was formed at the beginning of 1980 and since its inception has carried out market studies on behalf of major companies, both local and international, over a broad cross section of commerce and industry (see list of industries and list of clients).
Each of the market studies is controlled personally by one of the directors.
Client contact, the market research design, its analysis, interpretation and reporting remain the sole responsibility of the directors. GK&A, therefore, offers a "hands-on" approach which allows for better interpretation of market survey findings.
The company and key staff of GK&A are members of the South African Marketing Research Association (SAMRA).
